Could this be a ectopic pregnancy?
2 weeks ago I found out I was pregnant. My general doctor guessed I was about 6 weeks along then. I read that during early pregnancy women can get cramps sometimes and that is normal, but I keep having a cramp in one spot, closer to my side that hurts much more then the other cramps in the expected areas. I cannot go in for an ultrasound or any other type of exam at this point because I live on a US military base in Japan, here all of our medical care is taken care of on base and OB refuses to see anyone until they are at least 12 weeks along. We are not allowed by the military to go out and seek care outside of base clinic. My question is could this pain be a sign that my pregnancy is ectopic and if so, how many weeks along would I have to be before it is going to cause me serious problems?
I have been trying to get pregnant for 8 years now and after 2 miscarriages and infertility treatments I finally was able to conceive so I may be worrying a bit to much, because I am just expecting either another miscarriage or for something else to go wrong.
Thank you advance for any advice.
